Heyho Michel,
The glow is defined with the alpha channel of the dds .White (Full opacity) is chrome like glow, black (Full transparency) is matt. And you can use all shades of grey inbetween ofc.

I don`t know if the terms in Photoshop are the same, because I use Gimp, but in general you can use a layer mask for this.

1.) Choose the layer (your skin), right click and use generate layer mask
2.) Edit the layer mask like you need it for the skin, it`s only greyscale (black, dark grey for matt parts, white or light grey tones for for shiny parts)
3.) When finished, right click the layer mask and click "apply layermask" --> now the mask is transformed to the alpha channel (you can see this under the "Channels" tab)
4.) Export to DDS using DXT5 Interpolated alpha and check the "Generate MipMaps" box.

Don`t hesitate to ask, if something is unclear, GL!
